Question by cindybman: Highest Strength AF Zoom Lens for Nikon D40?
I just bought a Nikon D40 and it came with a lens that is a “AF Snikkor 18-55mm 1:3.5-5.6G II ED” — does that make any sense? As you can tell, I am a total amateur!

I would like to get a very powerful zoom, I think it may be called a “macro” (?) for taking detailed pictures of flowers and nature. Is it possible to get a lens like this in an AF? I love taking pictures in the insides of flowers, as they make a very interesting photo. I would like to catch all the tiniest details.

I went to the Nikon website and was so overwhelmed. I didn’t have any idea where to look or what to look for.
